    I’m a San Diego native and have been a freelance graphic designer since 2007. In 2012, I began creating marketing plans and managing social media content for local businesses, short films and community groups.

    Proving Pins is a blog dedicated to trying out various recipes from Pinterest to see if they are as easy and/or tasty as they look. The project involved developing a brand identity and creating a main logo as well as a small icon for use as a photo watermark and social media icon.

    Walk for Life San Diego
    2013 to present
    logo design & event materials

    Creation of event logo, flyers, t-shirts, and banners for the first Walk For Life in San Diego. The project also included creating online media banners and social media icons to continue promotion of the event for years to come.

    Santee Sandlot

    Santee Sandlot is a Baseball and Softball organization dedicated to advancing the skills of players in a fun and safe
    environment. I did team photography for one of their coach's teams during the 2015 season and they use my photography in their new commercial video. santeesandlot.com

    Salon 910

    website redesign & photography

     

    A beauty salon in Del Mar requested an entire website redesign. The project involved re-branding the salon, photoshoots to guarantee original content and a complete website layout overhaul.

    Sweet Tea, Short Film

    Sweet Tea is a short film developed in the "Senior Project" program at John Paul University. The project included, creation and management of social media content (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) during fundraising campaign, filming and post-production. Graphic design projects for Sweet Tea included fundraising printed booklet, tshirt, lanyards, DVD covers, production signage and letterhead design.

    On A String

    branding & logo design

    Branding project for a start up company in San Diego. On a String is a balloon art company specializing in event decoration. The project included naming the company then creating a brand identity (logo & packaging) for products and marketing materials. 

    High School Youth Ministry

    An ongoing volunteer project for a Catholic Church in El Cajon. Contributing to the formation of Catholic high school students through graphic design and social media. Communication of upcoming youth events and keeping the youth connected to news in the Church and Parish community. Project includes managing the group's social media pages (Facebook and Instagram), creation of graphic design projects for events, retreats, and promo materials as needed and photographer for all youth group events.

     

    Call For Backup

    Call For Backup is a webseries about how a jaded private investigator tries to ditch an overzealous soccer mom who appoints herself assistant on a case; but when the investigation takes an unexpected turn, she must learn how to rely on others before her stubborn independence puts them both in jeopardy.

    My official role for the series as Marketing Director involved creating a logo and branding strategy for the series. This included creation and management of a website, social media content (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) during fundraising campaign and filming.

    Cities all over the world have been joining in Pharrell Williams' Happy campaign, and Escondido wanted to join the fun. I was brought on to the project by representatives of the City of Escondido and from JP Catholic University, newly located in the Escondido.

    As marketing coordinator of the project, I worked with University and City officials to craft a brand that would resonate with Escondido residents to create community support of the campaign. Marketing duties included creation of a logo, management of social media (Facebook & Twitter) and fundraising pages.

    Publications (“Pubs”), a branch of Communications, works to properly format, brand, and print and bind materials that help promote the company and its services. Pubs also helps to build awareness of Barney & Barney by administering branding and compliance guidelines that ensure consistency across divisions and locations. We function in a high deadline environment that often focuses on quick turnarounds.

     

     

    Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church El Cajon, CA

     

    Young Adult Ministry Coordinator, Assistant with the Youth Director, Social Media Manager // August 2005 - Present

    At Our Lady of Grace, I've volunteered my time in the Youth Ministry program as a retreat coordinator, small group leader, event chaperone, Confirmation Prep instructor, speaker, graphic designer and an assistant to the Director. More recently I've taken on the role of managing all the social media accounts for the youth group (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) as well as Coordinator for the Young Adult Ministry. I coordinate monthly meetups and social gatherings for parish members 18-39 and also highlight all of the other Diocesean events occurring throughout the city.

    Management of all records and filing for the San Diego branch of the firm. Tasks include document filing, management of records filing software and assisting in all Office Services needs of the office.

    TED Conferences

    Intern, Long Beach Conference - Registration, Front of House // February - March 2012

     

    My internship position was in the Registration department of TED and involved the organization of the registration/check-in process (program assembly, name badges, "swag" bag distribution) before after and during the conference weeks. I also worked in Speaker Concierge which involved checking in and assisting conference speakers, donors/patrons and high priority attendees.

    Manage daily tasks of the store including sales, inventory, buying and selling merchandise and creating store displays.

     

    Irish Outreach San Diego

     

     

    Director’s Assistant, Receptionist // September 2010 - June 2012

     

    Irish Outreach is a Non-Profit organization who assist the Irish community in San Diego and works with both the Irish Government and the Consulate General in San Francisco. My positions with the organization included assisting the Director with J-1 Visa (student visas) requests, daily inquiries/liaison with Irish community members, basic office management and representing Irish Outreach at various community events. I also managed the organization's Facebook profile page and was the event photographer for Irish Outreach.

    Daily tasks included serving customers, maintaining store's cleanliness, inventory, taking cake orders, decorating and "building" cakes as well as directing other employees with their daily tasks.
